Rudolf Schenker, founded the band Scorpions when he was only 17 years old. It was 1965 and at that time Rudolf played guitars and also played the roll of vocalist in the band. Scorpions soon mixed with another band, Copernicus, wher used to play his brother Michael Schencker an Clause Maine. No wonder Rudolf had to leave the ppossition of lead guitar and vocals to the new members. The new band was called Scorpions, and that gives a hint of Rudolfs leading possition in the band. Maybe Rudolf Schencker is not a virtuouse, he allways left protagonism to the rest of the musicians and only played guitar solos in counted songs (Wind of Change, Still Loving You, China White, As Soon as the Good Times Roll, Through my Eyes y Big City Nights), but it is sure he has been a good leader able to write most of the songs that made the band spread wings, and a leader able to cheer his brother to play guitar wen he was only a child (that is fair enough for Heavy Metal world to be acknowloged to him) .
