Bonham started playing drums when he was only five years old. In nineteen sixty four he founded his first band called Terry Webb and the Spiders. While he was playing in the Crawling king Snakes he first time met Plant whose destiny will cross joyfully in the future. Over those years, Bonham was considered as the most noisy drumer in the U.K., but also virtuouse and creative. Finally he was recruited by Page for the project that later on will turn into Led Zeppelin. He is considered as one of the best drumers in the history, his personal way of playing was a pretty hard way of samashing the drums a good deal far from Jazz style that was the fad on that days, a way of playing that had undeniable influence in the later Rock and Heavy Metal drumers.
